This script lets you upload a file to your server using only your web browser. You only need to set 2 variables and create the upload directory on your server. This script will limit the types of files that you can upload to images, zip files and pdf documents. It will automatically create sub-directories if required. Additionally, you can do a directory listing of your upload directory. A password is required to upload or list files.

PHP file upload protection.

With this simple function, you can check the authenticity of any file uploaded, it works by checking the file specified, for specific hex at specific locations, thus, much more safe than the usual protection of just checking the extension. Includes: TAR, ZIP, BZ2, SWF, WMV, MP3, BMP, GIF, PNG, and JPEG, predefined.

Image uploader

This is a very simple script that i use to upload images to a webserver. It returns the path where the file was stored, plus html- and bbcode for usage on forums. It is recommended to passprotect the folder this script sits in, therefor images are being copied to a folder outside the directory of the script.

I wrote this script to illustrate the basic operations required for file uploading, I don't recommend it be used as is, because people may upload programs and scripts. If you want only images to be uploaded, you may want to modify the extension of any file that doesn't have isn't a jpg, png, or gif.

reducedcomplexity uploader

reducedcomplexity uploader is an advanced upload script. You can set an administrators password, rename or autorename files to be uploaded, overwrite the file or quit the upload in case the file already exists. A maximum filesize can be set, error and confirmation messages are editable. It is easy to set up , can easily be placed inside any existing php-file and can be run with register_globals=Off. Several language files are included. Also provided is an administration utility for the upload folder which allows you to browse and delete the files in your upload-folder, show filesize, -date and image-properties. The script is designed as an administrators tool but may also be used on public websites.
